music for fireworks
On New Year's eve I stayed home with a friend. We had wine, opened all the windows in my room, watched my wealthy neighbors' fireworks, gratis.
The following works played on my cd player as pyrotechnics graced the sky (and increased CO2 levels in the atmosphere—so much for global warming):
1. Fourth Movement, 9th Symphony, Beethoven
2. The Nutcracker Suite, Tchaikovsky
I think "Aquarium" from Saint-Saen's The Carnival of the Animals should also work. Hmmm. Definitely, for next year's revelry:
